Hatsukoi, 2019

Film photography, Digital photography, Floral design

What comes to mind when you first hear the word “Hatsukoi.” If you don’t know Japanese, you would probably think, “what does it mean?.”

Hatsukoi came to me like that without realizing the meaning. It means “First Love” in English, “첫사랑” in Korean, and “初恋(Hatsukoi)” in Japanese. Complicated emotion called “Hatsukoi” came to me even when I couldn’t realize it. Photos show the emotion chronologically, from the first heart fluttering to unforgettable trauma.
